Grandfathering

Several quilt blocks were painted by people in the county before a quilt trail was established.  We invited them to become a part of the quilt trail (for a small fee to be used for promotin).

Patches and Petals

11978 Watergate Rd.
Cadillac
Patches and Petals is a quilt shop located three miles east of Cadillac on M-55.  Four blocks were commissioned by the owner.  Two of them, Aunt Sukey's Choice and an applique block, draw your eye to the front of the shop, which is housed in an old remodeled house.
Behind the house is the remains of an old barn.  The cement walls make a good background for Card Trick and Martha Washington Star.

Sandy Wiltzer of  Brushed Blessings painted the blocks.

Amaryllis

Koster
3121 S. 7 Mile Rd.
Falmouth
Carol's husband surprised her for her birthday with this wonderful Amaryllis quilt block for her yard.  It is mounted on a freestanding frame to enhance this beautiful setting.

Four Seasons

Emery
1571 S. Merritt Rd.
Merrit, MI
This Maple Leaf block based on the Log Cabin design was painted in four different colorways to represent the Four Seasons of Michigan.
